When I think of who the American Teenager, I can't really form a really detailed picture in my head.  Because of how the United States, in a way, is actually a combination of all other countries.  This means that every American Teenager is different in their own way.  Even though I think we do have a lot of shared stereotypes like we're lazy and disrespectful,  but these stereotypes don't fit some teenagers.  I think that everything about a teenager depends on how they grew up in their childhood, and what experiences they had with other people.  So, that's why I think you can't give an exact description of an American Teenager.
